How to create a simple video production

These days creating simple video production is fun and easy. There are video capturing programs for macs and pcs built into these computing units already loaded when you buy them. Simple videos are being made left and right...just look at "YouTube"!! Some are bad and some are good....mostly they appear to be bad! The difference between good video productions and bad productions is the "planning process". The slogan that most media instructors will tell you is: "If you fail to plan you plan to fail!"

The purpose of this blog is to help you plan a simple video production and give you the resources necessary to create one successfully. Good luck and have fun!!

Film production occurs in three stages:

  • Pre-Production—Preparations are made for the video. Considerations that are involved are: storyline, cast and, location.

  • Production—The raw elements for the finished video are recorded. This includes the audio and sound tracks created for the production.

  • Post-Production—The video is edited; production sound (dialogue) is concurrently (but separately) edited, music tracks (and songs) are composed, performed and recorded, and any other computer-graphic 'visual' effects are digitally added.
